Wondering how you can track your
shipment right from the time you ordered to the time it is delivered? There is
no need to worry anymore as it will be taken care of in this post. It is an
easy and simple task to track and confirm your shipment. You will agree with me
after reading this post.
Before we proceed, read:
Now that you have successfully
shopped and bought your goods from Aliexpress, it is time to track your
shipment. This will be done by inputting the tracking number issued by the
seller on the tracking website specified by the seller or any other website.
Your order will only be packaged
and shipped out after your payment must have been received, verified and
withdrawn from your account by the import portal.
When your goods are shipped out,
an email containing your tracking number and the website address where your
order will be tracked will be sent to you. You can easily track your shipment
by entering your tracking number in the website given by the seller.
You can also use other websites
to track your shipment. If you use free shipping through China post, you can
track your goods at http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php.
Goods ordered through Hong Kong post or China post for free shipping can be
tracked at http://17track.net/IndexEn.html,
http://intmail.183.com.cn/item/trace/itemTrace.jsp,
or http://singpost.com/index.php.
If you ordered from Aliexpress,
you can also get your tracking number by using this approach: once you get a
mail alerting you about the shipment of your order, login to your Aliexpress
account, go to ‘My Order,’ click ‘Details.’ This is under where you see ‘Goods
Awaiting Acceptance.’ Your tracking number will be contained in the message
from the seller.
If you ordered through China
post, you can start tracking your order after 10 days. If nothing happens after
10 days, contact the seller.
Terms Associated With Tracking Of Goods
Before proceeding to how you can
confirm your shipment, let us take a look at terms used in tracking. These
terms are peculiar to goods ordered from China.
Understanding these terms will enable you to interpret your tracking
information without any hick-ups.
Collection: this means that the order/ parcel is being
checked by China custom officers.
Departure from Outward Office of
Exchange: this means that the order has
passed China custom officers’ inspection and is on its way to its destination.
Arrival at Inward Office of
Exchange: this shows that the parcel
has arrived its destination country and is being inspected by the custom
officers of the country.
Departure from Inward Office of
Exchange: this shows that the parcel
has passed customs’ check and is on its way to the delivery address.
Arrival at delivery office: this shows the parcel has arrived at the
delivery office in the area you used in the shipping delivery.
Final Delivery: The parcel has been delivered.
When you receive your order and
you are satisfied with it, login to the import portal where you ordered from,
open up the order you received and click on ‘Confirm Order Received.’ If you
are not satisfied, click on ‘Open Dispute.’ When you open dispute, your order will
be investigated and if the seller is found guilty, your money will be refunded
back to you.
However, it must be noted that
you can only open dispute if you paid through the Escrow platform of the import
portal. This is why it is essential you make use of sellers that support the
use of Escrow platform.
Irrespective of the website you
are ordering from, the method of tracking and confirming your shipment follows
the same pattern.
You will notice that I’ve been
dwelling on importation from China through my posts. In subsequent posts, we
will see how we can import goods from USA and UK and have them shipped to
Nigeria.
That’s all about how you can
track and confirm your shipment. If you also have any contribution or
questions, drop them in the comment box below and I will definitely attend to
them.
Thanks. Have been following ur post. Please how can i get in contact with u??
